Sound bytes bites!

I have been caught up with work, travel and other such mundane things these past few days. That, coupled with my legendary laziness, is the reason why I have not updated my blog - not that you care I know!

As a stop gap, as a relief to your eyes, yet as a pain to your ears, here's a link to some audio bytes. I was interviewed in Aaha FM - a popular Tamil FM channel in Madras, owned and run by Kumudham magazine - a few weeks back on, what else, marketing.

If you have a few minutes - 45 of them to be precise - click on the link and check out yours truly.

A caveat though: The interview is in Tamil. For those who can't understand it and wouldn't feel like listening to it - lucky you!

It was superb talk about marketing and easy to understand… I feel very proved to be your student… I have a plan to start water plant in my home town……and there is no such company yet…… I find very difficult to convince my friends to start this project… I played this audio to my friends…… after hearing this all they are confident and ready to join hands to start this project…

One of my friend told that he is very confident on me because I learned marketing from you………

Thank you sir….

WOW!! Nostalgic...closed my eyes and felt I was in IIPM, listening to your lecture, mesmerized! Though most of the things were said and absorbed long back, surprised to realize that your words still does the magic. This piece of audio will forever be with me, thanks for making it available on your blog.

JI what a speech. Good insights. Your replies to all 3 queries were superb. At last we all had chance to hear your fluency in Tamil too. As the last guy from sales background asked, i came across many in this society who do not know the difference between marketing and sales. Very well explained.

Till date i ask people to read your book whoever praise my small tit bits. But from now on this 38.39 minute audio will be enough. Thank you for posting it in your BLOG...

That was fantastic!!
Wonder how could you give the entire 36hrs lecture in just 45 minutes, what else is left in marketing??
Excellent product(your interview), beautiful placement(aaha FM), sensible promotion media(Your blog) at an affordable price(time) Why would any customer say 'NO'?
Proud to be your student!

But, to be frank.. marketing from what we understood from you is entirely different from what we are asked to do in the corporate. Feel really sad and frustrated...are we in the right path???

People normally tell that you can easily understand a concept either by writing it and seeing or hearing it from an expert. As a student I follow the later one. And if the expert is explaining you in such a language that is impressive and informative you'll really pay attention to the subject. You are an expert in that Sir which would be accepted by any one who had attended your class even once. And this masterpiece of yours is something different not only because the listening did not take place in an air conditioned class room but because of the flavour of our regional language mixed in your explantion. This 41:07 minutes would be more than enough for any student who knows tamil well to clear the toughest paper in marketing with a distiction and even also for your old students like us who cleared your paper to practice marketing. We always chat in the break stating that how would Satheesh sir's class would be if he is gonna take class in tamil and our dreams have come true, though not in live atleast through audio.
Thanks for uploading it in your blog Sir.

And Anonyomous friend your example for 4P's is great yar

Any chances of getting a transcript of the interview (For the sake of non-tamil speaking people)? Would love to read it. Anybody volunteering to translate this?
